Ted Sappington grew up in the wide open spaces of suburban Kansas City.  High school found him just outside Philadelphia where his passion for filmmaking began.  He attended New York City's School of Visual Arts where he studied cinematography intensely for four years, graduating in 1993 with a BFA in Film.

Ted has shot such notable productions as Jimmy Walks Away, 12 Steps to Death, and Vin Diesel's signature project, Multi-Facial.  His work has been seen worldwide, including the Sundance, Hamptons, and Berlin film festivals.

Ted is also a writer.  His first novel, Enter Twilight, is complete for which he is currently seeking representation.  He is now researching his next novel, Echo.

These days, he works in IT Support, troubleshooting Win XP/2003 systems, assisting staff in matters of Office, Filemaker, Adobe CS3, nonlinear editing, and providing clients with solutions to their everyday computer woes.
